The Food Network chef Giada De Laurentiis is on the cover of the December issue of ShapeMagazine. Just a year shy of 40 the popular TV chef gives her recipe for a healthy body and balanced lifestyle at any age. She said,

“I can’t believe it myself. I think we all look in the mirror and see that 25-year-old. But as long as you’re eating well and moving your body every day, age is just a state of mind.”

So how does she move her body? Ever since Giada’s pregnancy she has become a yoga aficionado. Her obstetrician had told her to tone it down at the gym so she switched to yoga and now these days she has a private instructor that goes to her house five days a week. As for eating well, she said that after her pregnancy her small 5’3? frame had to lose 22 pounds. She decided to cut out sugar and cheese for six months in order to drop the weight. She explained,

“The first two weeks were hard. But I got over the hump by eating a lot of fruit and replacing sugar with healthier alternatives, like brown rice syrup and agave nectar.”

Well, Giada is as cute as a button and her healthy appearance and positive energy clearly contributes to the success of her show.
