Ball crunches take the help of an exercise ball.The exercise ball is a far better effective tool to strengthen the mid section.The reason it is more effective than crunches on the mat is that in floor crunches,legs are involved too,but here,only abs come into play.

CORRECT FORM:



Ball Crunches





Lie on top of the ball,with your lower back resting on the ball,and your feet flat on the ground.

Cross your arms over your chest,or place them behind your head.

Squeeze the abs to lift your torso off the ball,pulling the bottom half of your ribcage towards the hips.

Make sure the ball does not roll,but remains stationary, as you curl up.

Pause for a moment,and return to starting position.

Do about 15 reps per set,and around 3 sets.
