Biceps Curls





Biceps  Curls is one of the most fundamental and common among the biceps exercises.Part of almost all biceps and bodybuilding workouts,it is known by even those who don’t even know the ABC’s of bodybuilding.This exercise is necessary to build big biceps and muscles of the arms.Anyone who wants to gain muscles will swere by this exercise.Everyone seems to be doing it,but no one seems to be doing it correctly

CORRECT FORM:

 

  • Stand straight,feet slightly apart,knees unlocked and grab a dumbbell in each hand,at arms length and palms facing forward.
  • Bring your shoulders a little back.This is the starting position.Always maintain good posture.
  • Keep your elbows slightly against your sides.Bring the dumbbell up,exhaling as you go up,without moving your elbows from their position.Squeeze your biceps as you go up.
  • Pause for a second,while squeezing the biceps,and slowly bring the dumbbells to the starting position.Inhale as you return to starting position.
  • Remember-you dont need really heavy weights to perform this exercise.Pick a lighter weight and perform the exercise using the correct form.
  • Do not swing your shoulders while performing the exercise.Not only will you be cheating by using momentum,you risk damage to your shoulder muscles.
