Leighton says that she tries to choose foods which are less processed and many more natural whilst employing more common techniques of cooking.

She recommends including whole grain products such as brown rice and grain proudce like pasta, cooked and raw veg, beans and bean products like tofu, natural seasoning, fish, fruit, seeds and nuts.For Leighton Meester’s exercise routine, she still follows the 5 factor workout part of Harley Pasternak’s weight loss program. This involves working out for 25 minutes every week that can be done through the use of dumbbell and a bench. The workout is varied every week with the different types of exercise particularly strength training, cardiovascular, core movements including the alteration of repetitions, sets, resistance level, and rest periods.
The routine lasts for 25 minutes wherein the first 5 minutes are allotted for cardio warm up that increases the heart rate 65% to 85%. The second workout consumes 10 minutes doing strength training with two different exercises altered every week. The third exercise involves the core exercises like crunches and twists still with varied rep, set, and rest ranges done for 5 minutes. Lastly, the cool down lasting for 5 minutes to help in alleviating delayed onset muscle soreness.
Additionally, Leighton Meester’s exercise routine focuses on toning up her thighs, butt, and arms. She also does a little bit of yoga during times she is not spending hours inside the gym.
