Leg Crunches are similar to the flat crunches,the only difference being that here the legs are raised vertically upwards and not flat on the ground.This abs exercise works on the Rectus Abdominus muscles.Correct form of this exercise will save you from neck and back pains.

CORRECT FORM:

LEG CRUNCHES




Lie flat on the mat,with your back flat on the surface.Extend the legs up and bring them together.

Place your hands together and aim for your toes.Contract your abs as you go up.Make sure you do not strain your neck in going up.

Do about 10-15 repetitions per set and about 3 sets.

An easier way to do this is as follows:

Extend your hands behind you and lay completely flat on the ground.

Bring both hands and one knee simultaneously upwards and try to touch the knee of the leg.Squeeze while you do it.

You can count one repetition when you manage to touch the knee.Do about 10 repetitions.
