Britney Spears isn’t the only mommy that wanted to get her figure back after pregnancy. Britney Spears’ workout plan and ab routine obviously worked great for her so there no reason is couldn’t work for you.
The National Enquirer posted details of the diet and fitness regime Britney was on in an effort to lose 20 pounds and kick start her comeback. Supposedly Britney’s newly re-hired manager, Larry Rudolph, put her on the program, and this would make sense because he is also the person who is said to be brokering the deal to have her represent Bally Total Fitness.

 Here are the details:

* “Six small meals a day of specially prepared organic food – chicken, salads, vegetables and other low-fat fare.”
 * Pampering treatments for encouragement and appearance such as facials, hair and skin care treatments
 * Working out “with a trainer, three times a day, five days a week.”
 * “She’s been ordered to do a staggering thousand stomach crunches a day on her own.”

Britney Spears Diet Plan – What is a Low Calorie Diet?

Low-calorie diets are based on reducing calorie intake to about 1,200 calories a day while still maintaining a healthy intake of nutrients & minerals (especially from fruit and vegetables).

How to follow a Low Calorie Diet.
Eat five meals a day of reduced portions. Eliminate fast food, pastries and fatty foods.
Meals should contain a large amount of vegetables, proteins and slow carbohydrate digestion (like good carbs from beans, rice and pasta.
Prepare foods by steaming or grilling, no frying!
Snacks between the main meals should be fruit, yogurt or tea.

Reduce consumption of bread and milk, and remove sausages, alcohol, candy, packaged juices, salty snacks and soft drinks from your diet.

Exercise & the low fat diet:
To enhance the effects of this diet do aerobic exercises (jogging, spinning, aerobics, body combat) and warm down with relaxing activities such as yoga, Pilates and stretching.

Note: That these types of diet plans can lead to yo-yo dieting. This is because people do tend to lose lean muscle while on low calorie diets (the body is not getting sufficient nutrition. This lowers the body’s metabolic rate, and what happens is that when you finish the diet you need to eat even less food (than before you started the diet) to maintain your weight.

Rather, a healthy long term diet plan is the Diet Solution Program which in fact elevates your metabolism and helps keep the weight off permanently
