Barbell Close Grip Bench Press is an essential part of all triceps workouts.This tricep workout mainly focuses on the tricep and chest muscles.This tricep exercise is helpful to build muscles.Though many people perform various triceps exercises,but this takes the cake among all the tricep workouts.This is really helpful for people who want to gain muscles and improve the appearance of their chest and triceps.


CORRECT FORM:








  • Lay down on a flat bench,where you usually perform the bench press.
  • Grip the bench with your hands.It differs from the bench press in its hand placement.Place your hands on the bar,thumb width apart.
  • Inhale as bring the bar towards your chest.Make sure your elbows come down,almost touching the sides of your torso.
  • Stretch your chest and tricep muscles at the bottom.Exhale as you push the bar up.
  • Make sure you dont lock your elbows at the top.This will take some pressure off your chest and tricep muscles.
  • This will complete one repetition.Do at-least 10-12 repetitions in 1 set.
  • There is no need to pick heavy weights.What you bench is almost the same weight you should pick on this,but give significance to correct form over heavy weights.
