Another important leg exercise is the leg curls,used to develop the hamstring muscles.This leg workout isolates the hamstrings from the leg muscles and helps to gain muscles.Correct form is necessary to avoid hamstring injuries and strains.It is an important part of leg workouts and not very difficult to perform.


CORRECT FORM:








  • Lie down on the curling machine,as shown in the video.Your calf-pad must touch you just above the ankles and your hips are placed firmly at the crest point,i.e,where the two pads meet.
  • Grab hold of the bars in front of you.This is the starting position.
  • Choose a moderate weight.Now curl your ankles towards your hips,exhaling on the way up.Squeeze your hamstrings and return back to starting position.
  • Make sure that your knees are at the pivot point,so that you have no resistance in motion.
  • Do not move your body around much,rather keep stable as much as possible.
